WiFi Event Service
Events should become a real experience. The goal is to provide the best possible service for visitors, participants, and organizers. This also includes a professional and legally compliant hotspot that can deliver a stable WiFi network for thousands of users at the same time. Another example is a wireless concept that streams live images from a sports event, for instance taking place on open sea, directly to spectators on land. Temporary infrastructures can also connect the iPads of all participants during conferences. For planning and implementing event WiFi networks, Wireless.Consulting GmbH created the brand WirelessXStream.
Challenge Medical Conferences
At medical conferences in cities such as Berlin and Frankfurt, temporary WiFi infrastructures were successfully implemented to connect up to 300 iPads to a local server. During these events, the network was used to deliver presentation content and enable live voting. Depending on the location and technical requirements, different systems are used so that up to 5,000 concurrent users or more can be supported with a temporary, high-performance WiFi infrastructure.
Challenge Gerry Weber Open
It started with around 1,500 guests in the VIP area. Today, several thousand visitors at the Gerry Weber Open in Halle Westfalen can simultaneously access free mobile internet through the tournament’s WiFi network. Wireless.Consulting GmbH implemented the solution on behalf of the organizers of Germany’s largest tennis tournament, who wanted to provide more comfort for their guests. During planning and implementation, various requirements had to be considered, including visual integration, user handling for VIP guests, and legal compliance. The VIP area of the GERRY WEBER OPEN covered around 3,500 m² and was equipped with the “wirelessXstream” system using 18 WiFi access points. One year later, the system was expanded to the beer garden area, allowing several thousand additional tennis fans to use the internet at the same time. The full installation process, including measurements, planning, coordination, and implementation, took about four weeks.
Challenge Sailing Team Germany
For Sailing Team Germany, Wireless.Consulting GmbH developed a wireless concept to transmit live video streams. The idea was to provide spectators and interested viewers on land with insights into the race action happening on the water through WiFi distribution. The project required a flexible setup that could be quickly installed and removed at different locations while still delivering high performance for many simultaneous users.
